Difference between Hot wax and strip wax
Hot wax is utilized for treating sensitive body areas. It's applied in a thick layer and, upon cooling and hardening, is removed. This method is less harsh on the skin, reducing hair breakage and the occurrence of ingrown hairs. Conversely, strip wax is spread thinly over the skin and removed with a paper strip, making it ideal for areas with sparser hair growth and larger surfaces. why is outback organics less painful

It is normal to experience a small amount of re-growth after the first time of waxing. It generally takes 4 to 6 wax cycles (treatments) for a hair growth cycle to be established, this is due to variation of grow cycle from one person to another. It is recommended to have a four week gap between treatments. Is there any discomfort after the treatments
Discomfort should be minimal due to the use of high-quality wax and its proper application. After the treatment, care is taken to ensure that all wax residue is removed and soothing aftercare products are applied. There will be no stickiness associated with strip wax, as it is not used for treating sensitive areas. Waxing after care advise is provided after your treatments, the after care advice is also available below. Can i have a BIKINI wax if i'm on my period

why men wax
Men wax for various reasons, and is not just for body builders and celebrities, now men wax for better hygiene, less skin irritation, improved sports performance, going on holiday and enhanced confidence.
Waxing is a hair removal method that lasts longer and is more attractive than shaving or clipping facial and body areas, skin looks smoother and also dead skin cells are removed. Waxing is a personal choice that depends on how men feel and not how they look. what areas can be waxed
Waxing is effective on just about any area except the head and beard. Back, shoulders, chest, stomach, legs, neck, ears, nostrils, eyebrows and cheeks all feel and look better when they are smooth and hair-free. Serenity do not undertake male intimate waxing. Swimmers and cyclists improve performance by keeping legs hair free. That “unibrow” look can be separated into two distinct brows. Many men overlook the growth on their ears and in their nostrils that are noticeable to others when close-up. Should i trim my hair
No, please don’t. If your hair needs trimming down, we’ll do this for you as part of your treatment, so please don’t attempt this at home. Apart from anything else, you risk taking too much off which could mean we’d be unable to carry out your wax! for hot waxing the hair needs to be a minimum 3mm and strip wax 10mm Are there any conditions to why i can not have waxing
If you have any form of contagious skin condition we are unable to wax the affected area until the condition has cleared up. Sunburned, chaffed or broken skin cannot be waxed until it is completely healed. Clients who are taking Accutane will need to delay having a wax treatment until at least six months after completing their medication. Skin that has been treated with steroid creams, Retin-A or any other retinoid acne products cannot be waxed for three months after the course of treatment has been completed. how do i prevent ingrowing hairs
Unfortunately, men’s backs and chests, women's bikini areas are particularly prone to ingrown hairs. As a general rule of thumb, scrub and rub is our recommendation (also see after care), in other words exfoliate regularly and apply plenty of moisturiser to the waxed area. This is because ingrown hairs usually occur when the hairs are prevented from growing through thick, dry skin and so they get trapped under the surface. By exfoliating regularly to remove any dead skin, and moisturising daily in order to keep the skin supple, you will minimise the risk of ingrown hairs forming. Note that ingrown hairs can also be caused by poor therapist technique, whereby the hair is snapped off instead of being pulled out from the root, which could be one reason why you’ve suffered from them in the past. Some clients do still suffer from ingrown hairs even when they follow our aftercare advice. In this instance, we sell a range of highly-effective specialist ingrown hair solutions which will sort the problem out in no time. what is double dipping & why it should be avoided
Double dipping occurs when a waxing professional dips the used applicator back into the communal wax pot after it has been in contact with a client's skin. This can happen if the wax is applied unevenly or if the professional needs to reapply more wax to a specific area. Some salons will use only 1 new applicator on each client to save money. While it may seem like a harmless practice, double dipping can have serious consequences for both the client and the waxing professional. The Dangers of Double Dipping Double dipping can lead to several health risks, including: 1. Cross-Contamination When the used applicator is dipped back into the wax pot, it can introduce bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants into the communal wax. This can then be transferred to the next client, putting their health at risk. 2. Skin Infections Double dipping can lead to skin infections, such as folliculitis, which is an inflammation of the hair follicles. 3. Spread of Viral Infections Double dipping can also lead to the spread of viral infections, such as herpes simplex virus (HSV) and human papillomavirus (HPV). These viruses can be transmitted through contact with contaminated wax or applicators. Serenity do not undertake the practice of double dipping, because our clients safety comes 1st.
